Cape Street to Albert Street temporary closure for road resurfacing
The Cape Street intersection, from the on-ramp to Albert Street, will be temporarily closed.

The below workds have been postponed and residents will be informed when works are rescheduled via a letter.

The Cape Street intersection, from the on-ramp to Albert Street, will be temporarily closed from 9.00am – 5.00pm for road surfacing works as part of the final civil stages of the Smart Freeway Mitchell Southbound Project being delivered by Main Roads WA.
Works will involve profiling and asphalting one side of the road on Monday 28 October, and will switch to the other side on Tuesday 29 October. To avoid disruption, residents are urged not to park on this section of Cape Street during the works.
The scheduled works are as follows:
- Monday 28 October: Profiling and asphalting of the westbound road from the Albert Street roundabout to the Hutton Street on-ramp
- Tuesday 29 October: Profiling and asphalting of the eastbound road from the Hutton Street on-ramp to the Albert Street roundabout
- Wednesday 30 October: Kerbing works on the westbound road from the Albert Street roundabout to the Hutton Street on-ramp
- Thursday 31 October: Kerbing works on the eastbound road from the Hutton Street on-ramp to the Albert Street roundabout.
Every effort will be made to minimise disruptions to residents, although some noise and vibration may occur. These works are subject to weather conditions and contractor availability and may be postponed if necessary.
