2026 Community Citizen of the Year Awards nominations open

Recognise a local hero in your community who's making others’ lives better though their initiatives, leadership and positive actions.
If you know someone making a significant contribution to our community, why not nominate them for a Community Citizen of the Year Award?
Nominations are now open in the following categories:
- Community Citizen of the Year
- Senior Community Citizen of the Year (65 years or over)
- Young Community Citizen of the Year (under 25 years)
- Active Citizenship Award (community group or event).
Local heroes can contribute to the community in any number of ways, from sports and volunteering to conservation, social connection and inclusion.
Long-serving Hamersley Rovers president Carol Marinkovich received top honours in 2025, alongside the Friends of Inglewood Triangle and two outstanding surf lifesavers.
Starkick initiative founder Rob Geersen, pictured, headlined the 2024 class, which also included biotechnology company Uluu, youth mentor Marwa Wasique and Karrinyup Mall Walkers founder Maureen Banham.
Nominations close on 31 October 2025.
