What happens when life takes an unexpected turn?

Join Stirling Libraries for an inspiring and heartfelt evening with author Jess Michael as she shares the story behind her memoir, Defying the Diagnosis.

After being diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer (glioblastoma) in 2023, Jess faced one of life’s greatest challenges with remarkable courage, resilience and determination. Through honesty, humour and hope, she reflects on her journey through diagnosis, treatment, fear and uncertainty, and the practical, emotional and spiritual tools that helped her navigate the road ahead.

More than a story of survival, Jess’s powerful message encourages audiences to become informed advocates for their own health and wellbeing, embrace resilience in the face of adversity, and find hope even in life’s most difficult moments.

This is an uplifting evening of inspiration, reflection and strength you won’t want to miss.
