Lodge an application

The City's online lodgement service enables customers to easily lodge a building permit or development application online in a few simple steps.

The new online service enables the lodgement of applications without prior registration for new customers, with existing customers able to lodge applications via their existing login details.

Please note the City can only accept certain applications offline (via the front counter at our Administration Centre) or via email.

Copy of plans delays

There are currently delays in copy of plans enquiries and application processing.

Please be aware that it may take up to six weeks before your application is finalised, and the City is able to issue the documentation requested.

Required lodgement information

Once received the City’s officers will check your application to confirm it is complete and ready for assessment.  If further information is required, the City will contact you to request this information.

The application will not be lodged until all required information including payment has been submitted and the application is capable of assessment by the City.

Once lodged, the City will endeavour to assess and determine your application in a timely and efficient manner.

  • In-person - at the City’s Administration Centre (25 Cedric Street, Stirling) with payment made at the time of submission and a copy of the hard and electronic copy of the entire submission
  • Via post - with payment, hard and electronic copy of the entire submission included in the postal package with fees either via Credit Card Authorisation Form* or cheque.

A permit may be issued to an organisation on the provision that the purpose of raising funds is not for private gain or commercial undertaking.

The $50.00 application fee applies to Occasional or Extended Gaming Permit.

Once received and payment has cleared, your application will be assessed in accordance with the legislative and scheme requirements.

Please note: Building Permits, Development Applications, BAC Certificates and JDAP applications cannot be lodged via email.

Fees and charges

For applications lodged online, the applicable fee will be calculated upfront as part of the lodgement process, with the option to pay online. A schedule of all relevant fees and charges can be found below.
