Minor breach complaints
In accordance with section 5.105(1) of the Local Government Act 1995 (the Act) a City of Stirling Elected Member commits a minor breach if the member contravenes a rule of conduct (as prescribed by the Local Government (Model Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021; or contravenes a local law (made under the Act) relating to the conduct of people at council and committee meetings.
Under section 5.121 of the Act, the City’s complaints officer is required to maintain a register of complaints which records all complaints that result in a finding under section 5.110(2)(a) that a minor breach has occurred. An up-to-date version of the register of complaints is to be published on the City’s website.
The Register of Complaints below details the findings made by the Local Government Standards Panel against the City’s Elected Members and will be updated from time to time.
