Make a Junk Bug from recycled materials in this fun, hands-on kids workshop. Explore creativity while learning about reuse! In support of Plastic Free July, join us for a fun, hands-on workshop designed to inspire kids to learn about waste reduction and sustainability!
Led by Lessen with Peg, this interactive session invites children to design and build their very own “Junk Bug” using a range of interesting materials that would otherwise have been thrown away.
Participants will explore waste items sourced from local creative reuse business ReMida, and discover how they can be cleverly transformed. Children will investigate different material properties and learn how pieces can be joined together without glue or sticky tape.
