Art Awards and Exhibition 2025

The 2025 City of Stirling Art Awards and Exhibition was a resounding success! Whilst the gallery doors have closed, we have a lot to celebrate.

In this biennale event we exhibited an extraordinary collection of 158 new and diverse artworks from Western Australian artists of various careers stages. Our Public Program was enthusiastically endorsed by the community, and over 1200 people visited the exhibition. 42 artworks found new homes with artists receiving 100% of the sale price, including five that were acquired into the City of Stirling's Art Collection for residents and visitors to enjoy.

We would like to thank everyone for your warm embrace of this event and complimentary feedback. Every artist who bravely submitted artwork for consideration, those who were fortunate enough to be selected and those who received accolades for their creations – thank you and congratulations.

Dwelling in the Medium

Dwelling in the Medium: In-conversation with Ron Bradfield Jnr, Brett Nannup, Ross Potter and Tyrown Waigana

Saturday 1 November

2.00pm – 4.00pm

WA novelist Elizabeth Jolley once described the best stories as those that allow readers to ‘dwell’—to immerse themselves, see through others’ eyes, and create ‘spaces where people can meet’. In this spirit, four esteemed First Nations artists explored the power of visual art to tell stories, foster connection, and invite us into shared understanding.

Creatives + Connections: Music in the Gallery

Saturday 8 November

2.00pm – 4.00pm

The rich, resonant tones of the grand piano filled the gallery and elevated audience's experience of the exhibition. While all were are warmly welcomed, we especially invited artists and creatives to gather—an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate the vital role creativity plays in our communities.
