Registering your pet provides valuable information; it helps the City to plan for animal facilities such as exercise areas and resolve pet-related issues.

  • Cats aged over six months must be registered, microchipped and sterlised.

Pet registration and renewal fees

To renew your 1 year registration for free, please contact the City on (08) 9205 8555.

To process a new pet registration or to renew your pet registration for a 3 year or lifetime duration, click the Make a payment button below.

Cats must be sterilised prior to registration and therefore, the unsterilised fees option only apply to dogs.

Update your pet registration details

If you have recently received your pet registration renewal form and noticed that some information is nor correct or current, please let us know so we can update your registration record.  

Please inform the City if:

  • You and your pet no longer reside in the City of Stirling
  • Your pet has sadly passed away
  • Your contact details have changed.

Please also ensure you have updated your details with your microchip provider. To register a new pet or to notify the City of a new pet owner, please complete a Pet registration form.

Did you know?

Certain pet registration fees have been reduced during the 2020/21 financial year as part of the City of Stirling’s Economic Stimulus and Community Recovery Package.

From 1 July 2020 until 30 June 2021, the following fee reductions will apply for all new and renewed registrations:

  • One-year dog and cat registration fees will be waived
  • Three-year dog and cat registration fees will be reduced by 50% (in addition to any other applicable discounts)
  • Lifetime dog and cat registration fees remain at the standard rate
  • No fee reductions or discounts are applicable to the registration fees for dangerous dogs.

This initiative has been designed to help alleviate financial burdens on our community as Western Australia moves through the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pet registration concessions

Pet registration concession fees are available for residents who hold the following cards:

  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • State Concession Card
  • Commonwealth Senior’s Health Card together with a Senior’s Card.

If you hold any of the concession cards above, you’re entitled to half-price registration fees on new one, three or lifetime registrations. Please note that Health Care Cards are not accepted.

To apply for a concession, please include a scanned copy of the front and back of your concession card/s, along with your pet registration form.
