Living Green Education Series springs anew

The City's Living Green Education Series (LGES) returns this spring with a range of free community workshops and events.
Designed to help residents create greener homes and gardens, connect with nature and learn practical skills, the sessions include:
Creating Green Spaces: 101 Permaculture Design
Saturday 29 August | 9.00am – 11.00am | Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and Inglewood & Mount Lawley Community Garden
Learn the basics of permaculture design and discover practical ways to create productive, sustainable green spaces at home and in your community with the City’s Urban Greening Officer Fiona Blackham.
Creating a Native Waterwise Garden (including verge)
Saturday 5 September | 2.45pm – 3.45pm | Stirling Leisure – Mirrabooka (Wattle Room)
Join horticulturalist Robyn Brown to discover how to design a beautiful native waterwise garden, including verge gardens, that thrives in Perth's climate while using less water.
Guided Wildflower Walk – Star Swamp
Saturday 12 September | 9.00am – 10.30am | Star Swamp Reserve
A guided walk through Star Swamp Reserve with Friends of Star Swamp’s David Pyke, offering residents the opportunity to learn about local wildflowers, native plants and the ecological values of the reserve.
