Located on Perth’s iconic Sunset Coast, the City offers stunning beaches, diverse cultural experiences, thriving hospitality precincts and a dynamic calendar of events. Tourism is a key contributor to the City of Stirling’s local economy, supporting small businesses, creating jobs and adding vibrancy to our neighbourhoods.
To help local businesses benefit from tourism, the City delivers destination marketing - a coordinated approach to attract visitors, encourage longer stays and increase local spending. We promote the region through seasonal campaigns, curated itineraries, major event sponsorships and digital storytelling.
We also work closely with tourism operators, event organisers and content creators to showcase what makes the City of Stirling special and grow its reputation as a must-visit destination. Whether you're a café owner, tour guide, artist or event organiser, there are many ways to get involved and increase your visibility through our tourism initiatives.

Do More You campaign
The City of Stirling has launched Do More You, a bold new tourism campaign inviting visitors to explore Perth's northern coastal corridor on their own terms. Running from Monday 4 August 2025 for three months, the campaign encourages travellers to embrace personalised experiences, whether it's coastal escapes, cultural gems, foodie hotspots or nature trails.
Rather than offering a checklist of attractions, Do More You celebrates the freedom to create meaningful moments and discover what truly resonates. It's about doing Perth your way, with the City of Stirling as your base for adventure, relaxation, connection and discovery.
Timed to boost off-peak travel during Perth's mild winter, the campaign targets intrastate, interstate and international visitors, driving year-round benefits for local tourism operators and businesses.
Work with us
Whether you're just starting out or already active in the tourism space, here are practical ways to collaborate with the City and grow your reach:
Register your interest to feature in our campaigns
Let us know if you’d like to be considered for inclusion in our destination marketing campaigns. These campaigns promote local businesses through videos, photography, social media, and digital advertising.
Share your photos and videos
If you have high-quality images or videos that showcase your business, we’d love to feature them in our marketing (with credit). This helps us tell authentic stories and gives your business extra exposure.
Feature in our business newsletter
Our newsletter goes out to thousands of subscribers, including residents, visitors, and other businesses. You can be featured in a dedicated Spotlight on Stirling section that highlights local operators and their business story.
Be part of curated itineraries
We create themed itineraries (e.g. “Family Day Out”, “Coastal Weekend”, “Foodie Trail”) to help visitors plan their time in the City of Stirling. Let us know what you offer, and we’ll consider including your business in relevant itineraries.
List your business and events on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW)
ATDW is a national platform that feeds your listing to major tourism websites like westernaustralia.com. It’s free, easy to set up, and ensures your business is visible to a wide audience planning their trip. It’s quick and easy to do, here.
Add your events to the City’s Events Calendar
Hosting a live music night, art exhibition, food event, or community activity? You can list it for free on the City’s Events Calendar, which is promoted to residents and visitors alike.
Promote your events on regional platforms
Increase your reach by submitting your events to free tourism websites like:
- Destination Perth
- Perth is OK
- Hello Perth.
These platforms attract large audiences looking for things to do in the Perth region.
Advertise in visitor guides and planners
Consider paid placements in publications like the Hello Perth Visitor Guide or the Destination Perth Holiday Planner. These are distributed in hotels, visitor centres, and online, helping you reach tourists at key decision-making moments.
Join tourism industry organisations
Becoming a member of tourism bodies gives you access to training, networking, and promotional opportunities.
These include:
- Destination Perth – the regional tourism organisation for Perth
- Tourism Council WA – offers workshops, accreditation, and advocacy
- Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) – supports businesses looking to become “trade-ready” and work with international markets.
