Rocky Lu and Iris Finn are an unlikely combination of artists to exhibit together, but as you will see in their upcoming exhibiton, their work really does sit well together.
Rocky is a 30-something autistic artist who works in graphite and coloured pencils on paper, creating meticulously drawn robots with cityscapes in the background.
Iris is a 50-something Mum of two who works in acrylic paints on canvas creating still lifes in her quirky, life affirming style. By concentrating on the wonders to be found in the library, the joy of a delicious take away coffee from one of the amazing local coffee shops and some plants (from Mia Flor) and/or alcohol (from Devine Cellars), she creates different moods in each painting.
Both artists are loving getting the opportunity to spend six months in their studios at the Inglewood Arts Hub on Beaufort Street and would love you to come along to see the outcome of their residencies in their exhibition which starts on Wednesday 17 June, with an opening celebration on Wednesday 18 June.
Thanks to the City of Stirling for supporting the exhibition with their Locally Led and Creative Grant.
