Small Business Workshops

The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) offers a range of practical workshops designed to help you start, manage, and grow your business. Each session is delivered by experts who understand the challenges of running a small business and provide actionable advice you can use straight away.

Workshop categories:

• Business skills - Learn the essentials of running a business, from writing a business plan and setting up systems to employing staff, meeting health and safety obligations, and succession planning
• Financial management - Gain confidence in budgeting, cash flow, recordkeeping, and understanding your business finances at both operational and strategic levels
• Interpersonal skills - Improve communication with customers, staff, and suppliers while building resilience and achieving a better work/life balance
• Sales and marketing - Develop strategies to boost sales, grow your network, manage online bookings, and market your products or services effectively
• Strategy and risk - Learn how to create strategic plans and manage risk to ensure long-term success
• Tendering and contracts - Understand the tendering process and contracts to access opportunities with government and large businesses.
