The City of Stirling invites you to take part in a Community Planting event at Wrigley Seabrook Reserve and help bring this newly upgraded parkland to life. The reserve is transitioning to a waterwise park, with significant upgrades to landscaping, trees, planting and irrigation.

This event offers a chance to be involved in the final stages of the upgrade and make a lasting contribution to the space. On the day we’ll be planting more than 2,500 native waterwise plants (130mm pots) and additional reed tubestock.

By getting involved, you can:

  • Meet your neighbours and help build a stronger sense of community
  • Improve biodiversity and the conservation value of local natural areas
  • Learn more about conservation and ongoing volunteering opportunities
  • Planting will be led by City staff and experienced conservation volunteers, with guidance provided throughout.

No prior experience is required.

What to bring

Please bring your own gardening gloves, water bottle and wear closed‑in shoes, along with weather‑appropriate clothing (long pants, and either a broad‑brim hat and sunscreen or raincoat and pants). Protective eyewear is recommended.

All participants will be asked to register on arrival and attend a short safety induction before planting begins. This is a family‑friendly event; however, children must be supervised at all times as we will be working in natural bushland areas.

A complimentary lunch will be provided at the end of the event, along with small thank‑you tokens to show our appreciation for your efforts.
