Scarborough Beach is located in the Scarborough Precinct, on The Esplanade at the end of Scarborough Beach Road. This is the City’s most popular beach with easy access to public transport. White sand and big waves along with lifeguards all year around make this a favourite location for surfing, swimming and water sports.

There are ample facilities in the area; public toilets, shower, drinking fountains, a beach pool, an amphitheatre, skate park and a bouldering wall.

Please be aware that we do not accept bookings for weddings at Scarborough Beach.

$20 per hour (less than 5 hours)

$100 per day (more than 5 hours)

General hire covers standard, low‑impact use of the space and is charged at an hourly or daily rate.

Price on application

An event is an organised activity that goes beyond general hire and requires an approved event application. Events may involve media, promotion, commercial activity, or additional operational needs, and an event fee applies. The final fee is confirmed during the event application process.

All events are also subject to a bond payment of $2,000–$5,000.

$180 per event

Media activation and promotion covers photography, filming, and promotional activities that require use of the space for commercial, marketing, or broadcast purposes. These bookings may involve equipment, vehicles, or on‑site services and are subject to approval based on location, activity and availability.
