Facility Hire Officer
The main stadium of Stirling Leisure - Mirrabooka is the largest capacity venue within the City and can host sporting events, family fun days, community events and dances.
Available for hire for major functions such as large community events, mixed martial arts fight events, ballroom dancing exhibitions, conventions, State Basketball League or National League Basketball tournaments. The main stadium can hold up to 1,300 with City of Stirling approval.
The venue is also accessible via pathways and features an accessible toilet.
Features
The main stadium features timber sprung flooring, spectator seating, extractor fans and ceiling fans on every court to keep you cool during the summer. The main stadium is split into three sports courts by divider curtains during the centre's opening and closing hours allowing the three courts to be hired for games or training for basketball, netball, pickleball, volleyball and soccer.
Tables and chairs are included in the cost of hiring the venue, please see breakdown below:

Court 1 features basketball line markings and access to scoreboards.
Court 2 features basketball, netball and badminton line markings and access to scoreboards.

Venue fees, terms and conditions
Single court: $46.00 per hour
Main Stadium (3 courts): $138.00 per hour
The community rate is for groups or individuals using the City's spaces for non-commercial purposes, like hosting free events or recreational activities.
Single court: $80.00 per hour
Main stadium (3 courts): $240.00 per hour
The commercial rate applies to bookings where the venue is hired to make a profit by an individual or organisation.
Single court: $32.00 per hour
Main stadium (3 courts): $96.00 per hour
The club/school rate applies to a club or school group that utilises the City's court space for no financial benefit.
To be eligible, not-for-profit organisations and groups must produce a certificate of incorporation as part of their hire application.
$2,800.00
Bookings made after 4.00pm on Fridays and Saturdays will be charged at the function rate. These bookings may also require a bond, which will be assessed by a Facility Hire Officer based on the nature of the event.

FAQs
Yes, some of our outdoor sports courts require a booking. For more information, please contact the Facility Hire team at bookings@stirling.wa.gov.au.
Not all our venues have staff present at all times. Upon confirmation, you may require an alarm code and a key to access the venue at the time of your booking.
There is no minimum number of people needed to hire a sports court. You also don’t need to be part of a team or competition to enjoy our courts.
As part of the hire fees, we provide goals, nets and rings for basketball, badminton, futsal, volleyball and netball across the majority of our facilities.
If staff are onsite, they are available to assist with set-up and pack-down. However, if there are no staff present, you will need to set up and pack down the courts yourself.
Yes, you will need to bring all your own personal playing equipment with you.
A variety of different sports can be played, the majority of our courts have line markings for basketball, badminton, futsal, volleyball and netball. Other activities will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Stirling Leisure Karrinyup and Dianella have evaporative air conditioning while the others have large commercial ceiling fans.
Sports courts located at Stirling Leisure - Karrinyup, Scarborough and Mirrabooka are suitable for hire for competitions.

Yes, you are required to book a court for a minimum of one hour.
Please email bookings@stirling.wa.gov.au as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule your booking.
You will not be eligible for a refund if you cancel your booking with less than five business days’ notice.
If you cancel a booking with more than five business days' notice, a cancellation fee may apply.
When an organisation becomes incorporated, they will receive a certificate of incorporation from the relevant State body. This certificate will include a reference number, that is a unique identifier for that organisation.
