The City of Stirling is seeking feedback from affected residents on a proposal to introduce parking restrictions along part of Deanmore Road, Scarborough.

Residents have raised concerns that parked vehicles are restricting access to the street and driveways during school drop-off and pick-up times. Several residents have requested a continuous yellow No Stopping line along a section of the road.

A continuous yellow line would prohibit all vehicles from stopping or parking along the marked section at any time. This would include vehicles belonging to residents, visitors and people visiting nearby properties.

In similar situations, the City generally uses timed No Stopping signs from 7.30am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4.00pm on school days. This helps manage parking during peak school activity while retaining on-street parking at other times.

Before making a decision, the City would like to hear from residents who may be affected by the proposal. Feedback received will help inform the decision-making process, and individuals who lodge a submission will be kept informed of the outcome.
