What the Mirrabooka Multicultural Centre has for offer The MMC houses a function space suitable for up to 150 people which can be hired for birthdays, weddings and other celebrations. There are also three separate spaces suitable for training and seminars or small functions. An extensive crèche space, including playground and outdoor area, is suitable for children’s birthdays, children’s activities, playgroups and childcare organisations. There is a well-equipped kitchen and child-specific toilet within the crèche area.A private room is available for community and business meetings and a separate space called the Tech Zone is equipped with four computers, a printer, scanner and photocopier. Both these rooms feature free Wi-Fi and can be hired by members of the public as too can an overhead projector.The large catering style kitchen has been completely refurbished with two ovens, two fridges, extensive bench space, Bain Maries and dishwashing facilities. An outdoor barbecue is available for hire. For information on the rooms for hire please contact the centre.Multicultural Project Officer The City of Stirling has been funded through the federal government’s Settlement Grant Program (SGP) to employ a Multicultural Project Officer to work with eligible recently arrived migrants and new and emerging multicultural communities to: Encourage usage and facilitate access to the Mirrabooka Multicultural CentreProvide referrals and links to a range of mainstream service providersAssist in building community capacity through education workshopsEstablish a mentoring program that matches new and emerging communities with individuals and organisations who can provide the relevant supportYou can get involved in the services offered by the Multicultural Project Officer by joining the CaLD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) Action Group.
