What is the purpose of Scheme Amendment No.122

Scheme Amendment No.122 proposes to rezone House Number 367 Odin Drive, Balcatta from 'Public Open Space and Local Authority Purposes Reserve' to 'Residential (R20)'.

Why was Scheme Amendment No.122 proposed?

House Number 367 Odin Drive, Balcatta is currently owned by the City, and was previously acquired in case it was needed for a future storm water drainage area.

However, it was never used for this purpose, and will not be needed for this purpose in the future. Therefore, Council resolved to dispose of the site.

In order to do so, the land needs to be given an appropriate zoning in the City’s Local Planning Scheme No.3.

Why is a ‘Residential (R20)’ zoning proposed?

Council decided at the 25 May 2021 Council meeting that the appropriate zoning should be ‘Residential (R20)’, to reflect the zoning of other sites on the street.
