Why is the Parking Local Law 2014 being reviewed?
The City is required to review a Local Law every eight years. During a review, the community is invited to provide feedback to the City about the Local Law. This ensures the community contributes and is involved in the local law making process.
What will happen to my feedback?
The City will consider all the feedback from the community and present a report to Council.
Council will then consider the report at a meeting and determine if the Local Law is to be repealed, amended or retained.
If Council decides to amend the Local Law, will I be consulted?
Yes, if Council resolves to amend the Local Law, the City will draft an amendment, which will be advertised for six weeks, and available for public comment. The amendment, and any community feedback will then be considered by the City and presented in a report to Council.
