The City of Stirling is saddened by the news that former City of Stirling CEO, Mr Ralph Fardon OAM has passed away.
Ralph was a passionate advocate for local government that led with good governance, leadership and collaboration. Never one to shy away from helping others, Ralph was recognised for his outstanding Public Service and Community involvement with the Medal of the Order of Australia award in the Australia Day Honours List 2007.
Throughout his distinguished career, Ralph served as CEO for two of Western Australia’s largest councils – the City of Stirling from 1986 to 1991 and the City of Melville. He concluded his career as CEO of the Mindarie Regional Council in February 1998.
He was a pillar of the local government community and his commitment to the sector was reflected in his numerous roles and achievements.
