Community grants program delivers first $470,000
More than $470,000 in funding will be provided to community groups in the City of Stirling to support a wide range of activities in the first round of the City’s new Community Grants Program.
Successful recipients of round one of the program include:
- Inglewood Monday Night Markets ($45,000)
- Scarborough Sunset Markets ($40,000)
- Summer X Salt Markets ($20,000)
- Brazilian Beach Carnaval ($40,000)
- Scarbs Beach Party ($38,500)
- Osborne Park Show ($35,000)
- King of the Point ($10,000)
- Wembley Downs District Fair ($20,000).
Other grant funded programs include local town centre activations, art murals and community painting workshops.
Round Two for small grants between $2,001- $5,000 are now open, closing on 31 October 2023.
City of Stirling Acting Chief Executive Officer Stevan Rodic said the events funded through the Community Grants Program would all contribute to building a vibrant City.
“Our new Community Grants Program is better aligned to our strategic objectives as a City. This means that the City is now working closely with the community on priorities that are shaped by our residents.
“We are also pleased to be providing quicker turnaround times for smaller grants, which will help support community groups to receive a grant within the time frames that they need it.”

At the start of this financial year, the City announced it would consolidate all of its grants programs into one simple and transparent process, better aligning funding to the City’s strategic objectives.
