Ward brochures to improve local focus

03 April 2023

The City of Stirling is mailing each resident a local ward-specific brochure designed to increase the level of information provided in a printed format.

We place great importance on keeping our community up to date with the latest information, and we have a number of digital platforms which include the City of Stirling website, social media platforms and eNewsletters.

We also understand that the community needs information to be available in different formats, which include printed options.

The ward-specific brochures result from community feedback provided to Elected Members; that information should also be accessible to those with limited access to technology and be more specific to their local area.

The brochures will provide residents with relevant local information about recent and upcoming projects, key council facilities near them, and contact details for Councillors and City teams to enable them to engage directly with the City.

The brochure contains:

  • An update of the progress of local projects and initiatives that have been delivered by the City in the local area
  • A preview of initiatives that will soon be delivered
  • Key locations and contact numbers for local hubs, libraries, and recreational facilities as well as some of the programs they deliver
  • Information on how to join your local sporting club
  • Upcoming events that you can participate in
  • A webpage you can visit or access with the assistance of your local librarian to give the City feedback on what your favourite local places are and what can be improved in your area.

We believe local people create the unique character of local areas, so we want to hear from you. Visit your local Ward page to share your views on what can be improved in your neighbourhood.

The Ward-specific brochures will be developed twice each year, and so the accuracy of the information printed on the material should always be checked by speaking in person with a member of the City’s customer service team on (08) 9205 8555 or via the City website.
