The Prime Minister of Australia, The Hon Anthony Albanese MP, has announced that Thursday 22 September 2022 will be a National Day of Mourning following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The City of Stirling unanimously passed a condolence motion and observed a minute’s silence at the most recent 13 September Council meeting, and according to protocol will continue to fly the City’s flags at half-mast.
Thursday 22 September will be observed as a standard public holiday, with the below modified open times and facility closures in effect for both the National Day of Mourning and the King's Birthday public holiday on Monday 26 September 2022.
