Works to start on PSP

10 January 2022

Main Roads will soon start work on the next 3.7km section of Principal Shared Path (PSP) from Civic Place to Reid Highway, including a new 80m underpass at Karrinyup Road, with construction expected to be finished by late 2022.

The improvements will provide a safer and uninterrupted cycling journey, which will encourage the community to consider active transport and help to reduce congestion on our roads.

This section of the PSP integrates into the other secondary branches of the Long Term Cycle Network (LTCN), which Council endorsed in November 2021.

Under the LTCN, the City’s aim is to achieve a network of safe and attractive bicycle routes.

The community is reminded that the PSP along the Mitchell Freeway in Gwelup (between Wishart and Porter Street and Cinnamon Road) is currently closed due to maintenance until at least February. We apologise for any inconvenience.
