Events

Per State Government advice, events will resume and those with fewer than 500 people will not require a COVID event plan. All events must adhere to State Government requirements including, but not limited to contact registers and face masks.

Basic COVID-19 mitigation measures (hand sanitiser, cleaning of high frequency touch points and registration with the Department of Health) are encouraged at all events. Events, including Scarborough Sunset Markets which was due to finish for the season last Thursday, are likely to return next week with COVID-safe measures in place.

The City of Stirling is committed to working proactively with all local event organisers and the Department of Health to support the return of events and activations for our community.

Mayor Mark Irwin thanked the community for their cooperation and said the City looked forward to welcoming patrons back into its Stirling Leisure Centres.

“Once again, our community has been doing a fantastic job and keeping up the great work by continuing to wear face masks and adhere to the restrictions set by the State Government,” Mayor Irwin said.

“While we understand face masks can be a source of frustration, we are really pleased to be returning to pre-lockdown arrangements in our facilities. It is important we all continue to keep checking in using the Safe WA app or contact registers and continue wearing face masks to keep our community safe.”
