ANZAC Day Driveway Dawn Service 2021

21 April 2021

Update: 3.00pm, Friday 23 April

Following the announcement by the Premier that the Perth and Peel region will be locked down from 12.01am Saturday 24 April until 12.01am Tuesday 27 April, Anzac Day events are cancelled.

Due to this weekend’s COVID-19 three-day lockdown, Western Australians have been asked to refrain from visiting any war memorials and instead commemorate the spirit of ANZAC Day from the safety of our homes.

To connect our community, including our veterans, the Premier, The Hon Mark McGowan MLA, and RSLWA have encouraged Western Australians to commemorate the day with a Driveway Dawn Service on Sunday 25 April

Simply light a candle and stand at the end of your driveway or balcony from 6.00am.

We ask for your help as we seek to connect our community during this isolated and lonely time. Embracing the spirit of mateship, please share this event information with your neighbours and older residents, remembering to adhere to the relevant travel restrictions.

ANZAC Day is a time to come together in any way possible and support one another and honour the spirit of mateship.
