Waste Services Update

04 May 2020

A number of the City’s waste services have recommenced:

  • On-demand collection of white goods, mattresses and e-waste
  • The Recycling Centre Balcatta’s Material Recovery Area (steel and cardboard)
  • The Recycling Centre Balcatta’s Household Hazardous Waste drop-off area.

The City will be operating these areas in line with the government's social distancing advice.

The City's three bin domestic waste collection, on-demand skip bins and Recycling Centre Balcatta Transfer Station (general waste disposal) remain operational. Cash is no longer accepted.

The Recycling Shop Balcatta will remain closed.

Dangerous materials such as pool chemicals, flares, motor oil and coolants, solvents and household and car batteries, do not belong in general waste as these can cause fires. If you have any of these items, please take advantage of the City’s Household Hazardous Waste service at the Recycling Centre Balcatta.
