City of Stirling Council last night reaffirmed their overwhelming support for Chief Executive Officer Stuart Jardine, extending his contract to April 2023.

Stirling’s strong financial position, recognition for award winning programs and services, excellent customer satisfaction ratings and consistent high performance were key in Council’s deliberations.

Stuart Jardine is widely recognised as a leading CEO throughout Australia within the sector and has been awarded a Public Service Medal for his service to the community.

Mayor Mark Irwin said he was delighted with the support of Council and looked forward to continuing his strong working relationship with Mr Jardine and the City of Stirling executive team.

“This is a strong endorsement of Stuart’s standing within the sector and his performance for the community of Stirling,” Mayor Irwin said.

“We all look forward to working together over the next three years to deliver the Strategic Community Plan and ensure a high level of service for everyone who chooses to work, live and recreate within the City.”

Mr Jardine said he was excited to continue to lead the fantastic team at Stirling and work closely with the Mayor, Councillors and staff to build on the City’s achievements and deliver the very best service to the community.
