Localised business support now available!

11 September 2019

Local businesses now have another way to connect with local customers, fellow businesses and suppliers and it’s free!

The easy-to-use ‘Localised’ digital hub is being rolled out to suburbs across Perth’s north-west thanks to sponsorship by the Cities of Stirling and Wanneroo.

Mayor Mark Irwin said the digital hub offered lots of practical ways for businesses to build their brand and help keep their spending local.

“It can be a challenge for local businesses to boost their profile, but Localised can help get the word out to potential customers,” Mayor Irwin said. “The digital network is a new and exciting opportunity for businesses to promote themselves; share business tips and advice; find goods and services and connect with upcoming business events.”

Localised has already built successful networks for business communities across Australia, and the two local councils looked forward to it achieving the same result for Perth businesses.

Stirling Business Association Chief Executive Officer Yvonne Atkinson said Localised would give local businesses another tool to help them achieve successes and in-turn help strengthen the local economy, which was key to supporting a vibrant community.

“It’s a real boost for local business, and there’s the added bonus of it being available free of charge,” Ms Atkinson said.

Amongst its services, Localised can help local businesses:

  • Create a profile and advertise their goods and service
  • Get recommendations, introductions and quotes from local suppliers
  • Promote their business events
  • Access a pipeline of upcoming procurements across the region.
