City launches campaign to promote the Beaufort Street experience

12 June 2019

The City of Stirling has launched a digital campaign that shows Beaufort Street is more than just a destination - it’s an experience.

The campaign showcases the many different ways you can enjoy the Beaufort Street strip at any age or time of day, and will run for the next month across the City’s digital channels. It also gives you the chance to win $100 vouchers from some of the many fantastic businesses featured in the campaign.

City of Stirling Mayor Mark Irwin said the idea to develop the Beaufort Street campaign began more than three months ago, to pre-empt the potential impact of planned works in the area.

“The City was made aware that work planned as part of the Pipes to Perth project being carried out by the Water Corporation could have created access issues for local businesses, impacting the City’s end of the strip.” Mayor Irwin said.

“We wanted to make sure we were prepared and had plans in place to let people know that local businesses were still open and trading - and the idea just grew from there.”

“So many local businesses were willing to get involved making it a truly collaborative campaign and we’re looking forward to rolling similar campaigns for other our other town centres in the near future.”

Mayor Irwin said the campaign was even more timely after the recent closure of businesses along the City of Vincent end of Beaufort Street.

“The campaign complements Vincent’s existing campaign which focuses on all the reasons why you should #lovebeaufortstreet and try some #beaufortstreetbites” he said.

“So, it’s another way for us to help activate the entire length of Beaufort Street and of course let people know about the fantastic places they can visit.”

You can check out the campaign on the City’s Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. For more information, head to the City’s website.
