Working with the community to address coastal erosion at Mettams Pool

08 July 2019

The City of Stirling has been working with the community to investigate engineering options to address ongoing coastal erosion at Mettams Pool.

To do this, we sought feedback on what the community values about Mettams Pool, its facilities and amenity through an online survey open from 24 May to 16 June 2019.

We would like to thank everyone that provided their feedback through our online community values survey.

This feedback largely informed the development of a range of engineering options, which also considered how the infrastructure at Mettams Pool could be adapted to optimise the unique features of the place as well as manage future coastal erosion.

Three concepts were presented at a community forum held on Saturday 6 July 2019 at Stirling Community Centres - North Beach.

The outcomes of the community forum are currently being consolidated and more information will be available shortly, once finalised.
