Sunset Veranda 2020 program out now

09 December 2019

The City of Stirling has released its Sunset Veranda 2020 program as part of the FRINGE WORLD Festival, promising to be its biggest and most diverse yet.

The pop-up beachside venue, where FRINGE WORLD meets the ocean, will be held at iconic Scarborough Beach from 17 January to 16 February 2020, perfect for a summer’s night out with family and friends.

Mayor Mark Irwin said he was very excited that the countdown to Sunset Veranda had began and was looking forward to the many new acts and shows on offer.

“In less than six weeks Scarborough will be buzzing with comedy, music, theatre, cabaret and family shows with artists from Australia and abroad.”

“There’s a great mix of free and ticketed events so there’s something to suit all tastes and budgets,” Mayor Irwin said.

Events to keep an eye out for this year include Summer’s Last Stand, a live music youth event presented by RTRFM 92.1, the Sunset Veranda Comedy Gala with a great line up of comedians, plus a range of activities and workshops to keep the kids entertained.

“Entry to the venue is free so it is the ideal place to grab a drink and soak up the atmosphere of our open-air bar as the sun sets, and for the more adventurous I highly recommend buying a ticket to a show in the Big Top,” Mayor Irwin said.
