Pool safety is always a must

Backyard pools and spas are the place to be now that the hot weather is here, but is yours safety compliant?

All private swimming and spa pools containing water more than 300mm deep must have a compliant barrier installed that restricts access by young children.

With the alarming statistic of 33 people drowning in Australian swimming pools during 2017/18, it’s a must that the more than 11,000 private swimming pools across the City comply with safety regulations. The City takes pool safety seriously and can issue on the spot penalties of $1,000 to owners or occupiers who fail to enclose a swimming pool or spa correctly.
