Moorland Street Bicycle Boulevard wins Road Safety Excellence

The City is very proud to have won the Road Safety Excellence category for our Moorland Street Bicycle Boulevard at the National Awards for Local Government.

The Moorland Street Bicycle Boulevard is the first ‘complete route’ to be planned under the City's Integrated Cycling Strategy and is a safe bike route connecting two major activity centres and is designed to provide a safe riding environment for all levels of experience, even separating cyclists from cars in some sections.

“It’s really exciting for the City to be recognised for road safety at this level,” Mayor, Mark Irwin, said.
