Hamer Park - Moyle Pavillion Update

30 August 2019

Since April 2019 there have been more than 2,500 visits to the Your Say Stirling project page with the City receiving approximately 150 survey responses, in addition to a significant participation at our two community consultation events.

Community feedback has been essential to how the City has decided to progress with these projects and an update is provided below:

Moyle Pavillion

The City has consolidated community feedback and is preparing a report on the upgrade of Moyle Pavilion.

The report will be submitted to the Community and Resource Committee on Tuesday 3 September 2019 and then for Council consideration on Tuesday 10 September 2019.

The report and meeting agenda are available here: https://www.stirling.wa.gov.au/your-city/about-council/council-and-committee-meetings/minutes-and-agendas(External link)

Hamer Park

Following community feedback regarding the Hamer Park proposal, the Woodsome Street location will not be progressed.

The City will now develop concepts for a facility located off North Street (in close proximity to the current location) with a design that considers noise, parking and environmental impacts. Further consultation with community stakeholders will take place during November this year.

A report on the Hamer Park clubroom will be presented to Council by February 2020.

The City will continue to update stakeholders and the community on the project.

Further updates will be provided on Your Say Stirling.
