Comment on the draft Strategic Community Plan 2018 - 2028

12 July 2018

The City of Stirling's draft Strategic Community Plan 2018-2028 is now out for public comment.

The draft plan, which is reviewed every four years, sets an ambitious yet achievable vision for the City over the next 10 years.

City of Stirling's Acting Mayor David Lagan said the document reflected the community feedback received by the City, as part of its review.

"During the review we engaged more than 2,000 community members through a variety of channels including community workshops, meetings and surveys, as well as the City's website and social media," he said.

"That feedback, combined with extensive research, has allowed us to develop a draft plan that we believe not only reflects the views of the community, but supports our long term vision for the City and its status as the 'City of Choice'."

Cr Lagan said a number of new and emerging priorities and focus areas will change the City's future direction for the better had also been identified.

"Those new priorities, along with the City's ten year vision, its mission, values and commitments are all clearly outlined in the document," he said.

"This is your chance to get have your say on the future direction of your City and I would encourage you to take the chance to get involved."
