CEO recruitment

The Mayor and Council of the City of Stirling invite applications to be the City's next CEO.

The City’s next CEO will work closely with Mayor and Council as well as the highest performing Executive Team in the sector. The preferred candidate will provide inspirational and decisive leadership with total commitment to implement the City of Stirling’s strategic direction. Significant Local Government experience will be essential as will passion for our community. In order to guide the City and its community, an accomplished, outcomes-based leader with a forward-thinking and street-smart approach is sought.  

The Total Reward Package range for this contract of up to five years is offered in accordance with SAT Band 1 and approved by Council, being $354,488 - $404,488.

It is anticipated that the process will conclude in August 2023, with the successful applicant joining the City by the end of 2023 to enable a smooth transition and handover with current CEO Stuart Jardine PSM. Potential applicants should consider the Job Description Form contained on this page.

 Mark was first elected Councillor of the Coastal Ward in 2015.  He was elected as Mayor by his fellow Councillors in 2017 and was re-elected as the City's first popularly elected Mayor in 2019.
