Change in bin collection times

To ensure minimal disruption to bin collections whilst WA experiences an increase in COVID-19 cases, the City will be commencing bin collections from 5:00am instead of 6:00am. We encourage all residents to place their household bins on the kerb the day before collection day to make sure we can access your bins.

Service delivery delays

We are experiencing some delays in service delivery due to COVID-19 and an impact on our staffing. We’re aiming to minimise disruption to our customers and to maintain delivering essential services. We are prioritising services that ensure the health and safety of our community.

We are currently experiencing a delay in the maintenance of some landscaped streetscapes across the City as well as the lawn moving of some parks.

You may notice some of the City’s much loved parks and reserves look like the grass is slightly longer than usual, or that some streetscapes need tending to. We aim to get this done as quickly as possible however ask for your patience and understanding at this present time.

The following requests may take up to four weeks to be resolved. You can continue to lodge these services, however please take into account the delay in delivery.

  • Litter/dumped rubbish on private property
  • Dust complaints
  • Noise complaints
  • Animal complaints - cat, rats, chickens, pigeons and bees
  • Odour complaints
  • Light pollution complaints.
