The City of Stirling has 440 parks and 330 playgrounds for the community to enjoy, with something for every age group and ability.

Charles Riley Memorial Reserve

Located on Charles Riley Road, North Beach and home to the Charles Riley RSL War Memorial.

Clarko Reserve

Clarko Reserve is a coastal reserve located at Trigg Beach at the end of Karrinyup Rd. It houses many facilities and is a popular location for families and small children.

Carine Regional Outdoor Space

The Carine Open Space playground is best accessed from the parking on Oakley Rd. It is well shaded and located on the beautiful grassed area alongside Big Carine Swamp.

Careniup Wetlands

Also known as the secret garden on Careniup Ave, Gwelup is a popular destination for tourists and families.

Lake Gwelup Regional Outdoor Space

The regional outdoor space includes Lake Gwelup. This seasonal lake located in the northern suburbs is one of the few areas left in Perth that is surrounded by intact bushland. Lake Gwelup has a viewing platform and boardwalk on the southern side, allowing you to get closer to the wildlife.

Abbett Park

Located on Deanmore Road in Scarborough, this park is popular with families and dog lovers as it has plenty of car parking and is fully fenced.

Butlers Reserve

A very large park with two ovals and located on Corbett Street in Scarborough. The reserve has great facilities for families and is popular with dog lovers.

A.S. Luketina

Located on Buntine Road and featuring plenty of on-site parking, cricket pitches and a football oval.

Edith Cowan Reserve

This park was created to honour the legacy of Edith Cowan and is located on University Avenue, Woodlands and has limited free, on-street parking.

Did you know?

Edith Dircksey Cowan OBE was an Australian social reformer who worked for the rights and welfare of women and children. She is best known as the first Australian woman to serve as a member of parliament. Cowan has featured on the reverse of Australia's $50 note since 1995. 

Jackadder Lake Reserve

Located on Jackadder Way, Woodlands this is a lovely family park, ideal for playing, scooting and cycling around the beautiful lake. The playground is suitable for kids of all ages and is set in a mixture of sand and soft play flooring.

Millet Selina Reserve

Located on Boronia Street, Innaloo and best known for its rope climbing structure. The reserve has lots to keep families entertained, for big and little kids.

Aintree Eglinton Reserve

Located on Belvedere Road and features Stirling Leisure Centres - Hamersley.

Rannoch Reserve

This reserve in Hamersley offers a number of different experiences for Perth families. There are four areas comprising nature play, two BBQs, a more traditional playground and swing set, plus open spaces.

Celebration Park

Located on Rochester Circuit and the perfect location for sporting activities. It features two soccer ovals, cricket pitches and plenty of shelter for all seasons.

Princess Wallington

This community parkland is located in the south-east corner of the Princess Wallington Reserve in Balga, on the corner of Camberwell and Princess Road.

Rickman Delawney Reserve

Located on Cosgrove Street and Rickman Street in Balcatta, featuring two tennis courts and a soccer oval. Perfect for outdoor sporting activities.

Shearwater Spoonbill Kingfisher Reserve

Located on Shearwater Drive in Stirling and features natural wetlands and playgrounds.

Roselea Reserve

Located on Roselea Boulevard in Stirling and featuring a garden bed, and plenty of facilities for an enjoyable day out with the family.

Stirling Civic Gardens

Located on Cedric Street with ample parking and many facilities. The main feature is the war memorial, dedicated to local soldiers who lost their lives.

Candella Square

Located on Candella Square Road, this is a fenced wetland hosting native and marine wildlife. The square is perfect for ball games or walking the dogs.

Des Penman

Located on Carcoola Street in Nollamara and home to Nollamara tennis and soccer clubs, and the Stirling State Emergency Services.

Hancock Karabil Reserve

This small, but well-kept reserve is located on the corner of Karabil Way and Hancock Street, and is popular with families.

Robinson Reserve

Located on Park Street, Tuart Hill next to Osborne Library, and home to the Osborne Park Cricket Club.

Grenville Reserve

Located on Grenville Street, Tuart Hill and perfect for outdoor sporting activities. It has two tennis courts, cricket and soccer pitches, and a football oval.

Joodanana Reserve

Located on Roberts Street, Joondanna and a great location for walking the dogs or playing on the playground.

Yokine Regional Open Space

A large open space ranging from Bradford Street to Alexander Drive in Yokine, next to the Stirling Leisure Centres - Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre.

Macaulay Reserve

Located on Hamer Parade in Inglewood and home to Inglewood Soccer Stadium.

Copley Park

Located on Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley, this beautiful little park is perfect to spend some quality time with the family.

Dianella Regional Open Space

A large open space ranging from Alexander Drive to Light Street and Morley Drive. It is home to the Jim Satchell Community Centre, the Dianella scout and guide hall and Little League.

Playgrounds

Our playgrounds are located across the City and include:

  • 7 regional playgrounds
  • 35 major playgrounds
  • 288 local playgrounds.

Bookings are not required and usage is free of charge.

Maintenance, refurbishment and replacement of playgrounds

The City has a review, refurbishment and replacement program to ensure they are well maintained. This includes:

  • Fortnightly inspections for each playground to identify maintenance and operational issues
  • Comprehensive inspections every six months to confirm overall condition.

The condition rating of a playground is then used to schedule the timing for major refurbishment or replacement works.
