Stirling Libraries host a variety of activities and groups for adults including book clubs and games clubs. For more information on an activity please view the events calendar or contact your local library. 

Book Club

Stirling Libraries host monthly BookChat book club meetings, where you can come and read, review and discuss.

About BookChat

  • BookChat members decide on the books to read
  • Supply of the book sets and discussion notes are coordinated for a monthly fee of $5.00 per member
  • To see the current BookChat adult book clubs and meeting times, please visit our event calendar.

Craft Club

Stirling Libraries - Dianella hosts a Night Knitters club which meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Bring along your knitting and enjoy a cuppa.

Ask a Librarian

Stirling Librarians are available for one-on-one sessions, to help you with basic computer and tech questions, such as internet searching, using the library catalogue, online resources and more! Contact your library to book a session.

Learn Canasta 5 at Stirling Libraries - Dianella. This game can be played individually or in a partnership.

Tax Help 2020

Tax Help is a network of ATO-trained and accredited community volunteers who provide a free and confidential service to help people complete their tax returns online using myTax. You may be eligible for the Tax Help program if your income is around $60,000 or less and you have simple tax affairs. To find out more about eligibility requirements, visit the ATO website.

Be Connected Tech Help

Be Connected Tech Help program is here to increase the confidence, technical skills and online safety of older Australians.

Be Connected is an Australian government initiative. The program aims to empower everyone to use the internet and everyday technology, through online resources, Australians can learn the basics of using digital devices.

Trained volunteers are available at each library branch on certain days and times. Contact your local library to book into a free session.

We recommend you bring your own device with you to get the most out of these sessions.

Chess Club

Are you interested in playing Chess?

Stirling Libraries - Scarborough has a chess club which is suitable for beginners, however all ages and abilities are welcome.

Youth English Conversation Group

If you want to improve your English and meet new friends at the same time.

Mirrabooka Library runs a youth English conversation group every Thursday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. No bookings required and afternoon tea is provided.

Recommended for ages 13 – 25 years.
