The City of Stirling is excited to welcome elite football to our community for the Perth Glory Summer Series 2022/23 at Macedonia Park, Balcatta.
The summer series features 19 Perth Glory Men’s and Women’s A-League home matches - starting Sunday 27 November 2022 and running through to Saturday 1 April 2023.
To help you get safely and efficiently to matches, and ensure impact to residents is managed, the City has various traffic management, parking and alternative transport measures and advice in place.
With limited local parking options, the City strongly advises, when planning your trip to Macedonia Park, to consider alternative transport options.

FAQs
How do I get there?
Parking will be limited during matches and additional local street parking restrictions will be in place for match days. The City strongly advises patrons to consider alternative transport methods including public transport, drop off / rideshare (drop off / pickup Market Ave), cycling, walking, using the City’s hireable Neuron Mobility eScooters, or taking advantage of the City’s complimentary shuttle service, which runs on Men’s A-League match days.
Shuttle bus
On Men’s A-League match days, the City’s free shuttle bus runs from Stirling Train Station to Roselea Shopping Centre, stopping at the City of Stirling Administration Centre around 15 minutes per trip.
eScooters
Neuron eScooters will be available for hire from Stirling Station, the City Administration Centre and at two stations near the intersection of Karrinyup Road and Grindleford Drive. Conditions of hire apply to all riders.
Public transport
The Stirling Train Station is 2.4km (or 25 min walk) from the venue, and Transperth buses 401 and 998 service the two stations located near Roselea Shopping Centre (walking distance to Macedonia Park).
What parking will be available?
Parking restrictions will apply in the neighbourhood directly surrounding Macedonia Park, with parking signs in place. There will be limited event parking provided by the City, including:
Pre-booked parking (Men’s matches only)
- Limited pre-booked parking (Wilson Parking, Book-A-Bay) will be available onsite on men’s match days, adjacent to Macedonia playing fields and accessed via Grindleford Drive only (there is no public access to the venue via Albert Street).
- Tickets must be pre-booked and presented for entry
- Tickets cost $20 per vehicle entry, between 5.30pm and 11.30pm only

- Enter the date of the game, i.e. 10/12/2022.
- The carpark opens 2 hours before kick-off, therefore the earliest ticket holders can enter carpark is 5.30pm
- Follow the prompts to payment.
- ACROD permit holders should use the promo code ‘PGACROD22’ when booking a bay.
- The City Administration Centre (25 Cedric St, Stirling) has additional free parking (20 min walk). Patrons attending Men’s A-League matches will be able to use the complimentary shuttle service from Stirling Train Station or park their vehicle. All vehicles must be removed from this carpark to enable set up of the Stirling Farmer’s Markets, which starts 5.30am on Sundays
- Additional parking is also available at neighbouring Grindleford Reserve (20-minute walk).
Women's match days
- In light of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, the City is proud to offer free parking for the limited onsite bays for Perth Glory Women’s A-League matches to encourage additional spectators. Gates to this parking will open 2 hours prior to match start for both men’s and women’s matches
How do I use the complimentary shuttle bus?
The City is providing a complimentary shuttle service for Men’s A-League games, with buses running from Stirling Train Station (Stand 9) to Roselea Shopping Centre, with a stop at the City of Stirling Administration Centre (around 15 minutes per trip).
The shuttle service will drop patrons on Grindleford Avenue with a 3-minute walk to Macedonia Park. Some free parking will be available at the City of Stirling Administration Centre (25 Cedric St, Stirling). Walking from the Administration Centre to Macedonia Park will take approximately 15 minutes. The shuttle bus runs from 6.00pm – 7.30pm pre-match and from 9.30pm – 11.00pm post-match on Men’s Match Days.

What public transport is near Macedonia Park?
Several Transperth bus routes stop outside of Roselea Shopping Centre (Karrinyup Road) with a 5-minute walk to the venue. Additionally, the City is offering a complimentary shuttle service from Stirling Train Station for train users. How is traffic being managed?
To manage increased traffic in the area on match days, a traffic management plan will be in place, including a partial south-bound road closure along Grindleford Avenue and diversion of traffic along Cranberry Gardens and Roselea Boulevard. Some reduced speed limits will be in place. Delays to traffic on Grindleford Drive are expected and drivers are encouraged to follow the signs and use alternative routes where possible.
What are the accessibility options?
ACROD parking bays are available at the City’s Administration Centre and at the temporary event parking adjacent to Macedonia Park.
The complimentary shuttle bus service which runs on men’s match days) is wheelchair accessible.

I’m a local resident, how do I apply for a special parking permit?
Residents in the restricted parking area can apply to the City for parking permits, which will need to be displayed for on-street parking on game days from Saturday 10 December 2022. To apply, email PGPermit@stirling.wa.gov.au and provide your full name and address.
Please note, if you are renting, you will be required to provide proof of residency (driver’s licence, utility bill etc) and processing period of 3-5 days will apply.
The City is directly engaging with residents and businesses located around Macedonia Park including letters to residents and businesses and targeted digital communication.
Why is Perth Glory moving to Macedonia Park?
The temporary move to Macedonia Park is due to ongoing renovations of HBF Park – the current home of Perth Glory Football Club. Macedonia Park offers the appropriate rectangular shape needed. Perth Glory is providing additional infrastructure, for example stadium seating, to accommodate anticipated patron numbers.
How is the City supporting this event series?
The City is working closely with Perth Glory Football Club, Venues West and Macedonia Football Club to ensure a smooth transition of the series to Macedonia Park. The City is managing traffic, providing alternative parking and transport advice and arrangements, and working to facilitate additional benefit for local clubs, residents, and businesses.
