Volunteers lead the Heart Foundation Walking Groups different routes and locations each week: adapting to road works, weather and group interests. Sometimes, participants meet for a coffee afterwards. Download the Heart Foundation Walking App to log your walks and win prizes.

Benefits of walking

For more information, visit the Heart Foundation Walking website.

Walking for an average of 30 minutes a day can lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes by 30 to 40 per cent. Plus, walking regularly has been proven to:

  • Manage weight, blood pressure and cholesterol
  • Reduce your risk of developing some cancers
  • Maintain your bone density, reducing your risk of osteoporosis and fractures
  • Improve balance and coordination, reducing your risk of falls and other injuries.

To register and keep up-to-date, visit the Osborne Community Hub Walking group page.

Meet at Stirling Community Centres - Osborne at the front, main entrance doors.
