The Balga-Westminster-Nollamara Local Area Project was the eighth project for the Local Area Planning program, with the community consultation being conducted in November 2009 and March 2010.
The Balga-Westminster-Nollamara Local Area Plan is the first comprehensive community based plan the City of Stirling has produced for this locality. It forms part of the
City's Local Area Planning program, which provides a local focus by concentrating on a defined locality. This allows for holistic consideration of social, economic and environmental issues and identifies unique opportunities in each Local Area and integrates the outcomes of community engagement with the broader strategic objectives of the City.

Community Vision

Balga - Nollamara - Westminster will be a ‘place for people’, a suburb that takes responsibility, knows and cares for its neighbour, where social cohesion and activity is important. It will be a place where children can play safely and where people of all ages and cultures are engaged in events and local activities. It will be a place that is revitalised with a focus on safe open spaces, shady streets and sustainable lifestyles. Residents will be proud to live here.
If you would like to be added to this list please call the City Planning Unit (08) 9205 8555.
