The Honorary Freeman of the City is bestowed on a citizen in recognition of their services to their city and their country. The City has a total of 9 Honorary Freeman, who have made an important contribution to the City and become an integral part of the City's history.

Mayor and Councillors

The City of Stirling is made up of 7 Wards. Each ward has 2 councillors, and the Council as a whole has 14 members. Commencing in 2019 there will be 14 Councillors with equal representation across the seven wards and the office of Mayor as civic leader. The method of filling the office of Mayor will be by the electors and the Mayor will hold office for four years.
