Living Green Homes Scheme

Incentives and rebates to help Stirling residents live a more sustainable lifestyle by 

  • Using less water
  • Reducing waste
  • Greening our City.

 

​Offers available to residents in 2016/17 included:

  • Free arborist reports
  • Free worms
  • Free Bokashi kits
  • Rebate on the cost of installing a grey water system or rainwater tank; or plumbing your existing rainwater tank into your home's water supply
  • Free water audit for your home
  • Free 'health check' of your irrigation system
  • Free shade trees for your garden
  • Free 'food for wildlife' plants for your garden
  • Free native plant verge makeover
  • Free microbat box for your garden.

 

 

Living Green Co​mmunity Grants

In 2016/17 community groups based in Stirling could apply for funding of up to $5,000 to deliver a project to help the Stirling community live more sustainably by

  • Using less water

  • Being more energy efficient

  • Reducing waste or

  • Greening our City.

 

Projects which were eligible for funding included

  • Workshops or training

  • Festival or events

  • Building, making, planting or installing something

  • Running an activity.
