World Premiere of “Four Postcards From Perth” – Allegri Chamber Orchestra/Matt Styles

Acclaimed soloist Matt Styles is joining Allegri Chamber Orchestra for this unique concert at St Patrick’s Anglican Church Mt Lawley.

This is the world premiere of “Four Postcards from Perth” Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra by Simone Lobbia. Soloist: Matt Styles Conductor Grace Ah-quee.

"Four Postcards from Perth" is a multi-influenced saxophone concerto in four movements. Each postcard (movement) depicts a Western Australian landmark and is influenced by a distinctive music genres:

• Scarborough Amphitheatre – Samba
• Concert Hall – Classical Music
• The Jazz Club – Jazz
• Freo Rock – Rock.

The concert will also include music by Borodin, Faure, Vivaldi, Piazzolla and Janacek.
