Residents and visitors can enjoy access to a number of free Wi-Fi locations in the City’s libraries, leisure centres and the Administration Centre in Stirling.

How do I connect?

Follow the below simple steps to connect to a free City of Stirling Wi-Fi zone. 

  1. Make sure you are in one of the above free Wi-Fi zones
  2. On your device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi
  3. Select the Stirling-Free-WiFi network
  4. Read and accept our Terms and Conditions.

Free Wi-Fi Zones - Terms and conditions

The City of Stirling's free Wi-Fi service is provided to enhance your visit to the City's services. Before being able to use the City of Stirling'​s free Wi-Fi service you must read and agree to follow the Terms and Conditions of Use:

  • A child under the age of 12 years of age must have parental supervision when accessing the wireless service
  • Users are responsible for the operation of the internet during their usage, including the access, transmission, display, printing and storage of materials
  • Users are required to comply with all state, including but not limited to WA Classification (Publications, Film and Computer Games) Enforcement Act, and federal laws, with the City of Stirling local laws. Unacceptable use of the Internet includes, but is not limited to:
    • Destruction of, or damage to equipment, software, or data belonging to the City of Stirling or other clients
    • Accessing or display of offensive or inappropriate material. This can include, but is not limited to, pornography, gambling, hate sites, gratuitous violence and sites using frequent, highlighted offensive language
    • Intentional unauthorised copying of copyright-protected material or infringement of licence agreements and other contracts
    • The violation or attempted violation of any computer network's system security
    • The violation of the privacy of individuals or entities that are creators, authors, users or subjects of the information resources
    • Unauthorised monitoring of electronic communications
    • Inappropriate use of email services, such as spamming
  • The City of Stirling reserves the right to restrict access to certain processes, file types and download sizes
  • The City of Stirling does not offer technical assistance with the configuration of your equipment
  • The City of Stirling cannot be responsible for any changes you may make to your computer's settings and strongly recommends that you note any current settings before you change them
  • While measures are taken to maximise the security of the wireless network, the City of Stirling is not responsible for security issues resulting from the use of the wireless service
  • Under no circumstances shall the City of Stirling or individual staff members be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, exemplary or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of data, use or profits, or interruption, or safety of equipment, however caused and on any theory of liability - including negligence or otherwise - arising in any way out of the use of the Wi-Fi service, even if advised of the possibility of such damage
  • Failure to comply with these conditions will result in suspension of wireless service and computer (where appropriate) privileges
  • Illegal acts involving the use of the City of Stirling wireless service may also be subject to prosecution by local, state or federal authorities
  • The City of Stirling reserves the right to terminate a session at the discretion of its staff
  • The City of Stirling reserves the right to monitor all traffic transmitted through the Wi-Fi network.
