Junior sports competitions are a fun and social way for the kids to stay active. Junior basketball and indoor soccer competitions nominations are now open.
Registrations of interest are open to join a team competing in the current season. Once your details are in the system, our staff can then get in contact with you if teams are looking for additional players.
Please note, by registering as an individual this does not guarantee a place in a team.

Fixtures
You can view your team's fixtures via our online portal using the link below. Junior competitions will start at 4.00pm and finish at 6.30pm.
Fixtures and results
Teams will be required to pay the game fee prior to the commencement of the game each week. The weekly game fee is $57.00 per team, no registration fees.
Withdrawals
At the end of the season, teams can decide whether to re-nominate into the next season or not. Teams that choose to withdraw their team during the season will incur a $100.00 withdrawal fee.

Sports are a great way for kids to learn important skills, such as teamwork, sportsmanship and a strong work ethic. Sessions are available at Hamersley Recreation Centre, and Herb Graham Recreation Centre.

Junior basketball and indoor soccer
Our junior basketball and junior indoor soccer coaching programs are held at Stirling Leisure Centres – Herb Graham Recreation Centre – Mirrabooka, with junior basketball also running at Stirling Leisure Centres – Hamersley. Programs are tailored for ages 6 to 12, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and fun.
Experienced coaches provide engaging sessions that help your child build their game while fostering a love for the sport. Classes run for 60 minutes and are split into two age groups, for more information view timetables.
Home school programs
Our home school programs are held weekly at Stirling Leisure Centres - Hamersley. The program is open to students aged 6 to 15 years, with sports activities tailored to different age groups.
Students can enjoy basketball sessions, or take part in multi sports sessions playing soccer, floorball, badminton, dogdgeball and more! Classes run for 60 minutes and are split into two age groups, for more information view timetables.

What skill levels do the programs accommodate?
Our programs cater to various skill levels, from beginners to more experienced young athletes. We structure sessions to accommodate and challenge all participants.
What should my child bring/wear to the session?
Participants should wear appropriate sports attire and footwear. It's recommended to bring a water bottle.
Who are the coaches and what qualifications do they hold?
Our coaches are certified professionals with experience in coaching junior athletes. They undergo background checks and hold relevant coaching certifications.
How are the session structured?
Sessions are typically structured to focus on skill development, teamwork, and game understanding. They often include drills, practice games, and fun activities tailored to the age group.
What is the duration of the program?
Our programs are held weekly and run in line with the school term.
How can I speak to someone about the Junior Sports Coaching Programs?
Keep the kids busy over the school holidays with our sports programs, arts and crafts programs or our mini and teen chef classes! Each program provides quality coaching for your child, so they can learn in a fun and supportive environment.
Sports programs
Our sport classes are run by qualified and experienced coaches. Includes Australian rules football (AFL), basketball, cricket, dodgeball, floorball and soccer. Please note, activities are subject to change. This program is for children aged 5 to 11 years old.
You are able to drop your child off for the sports programs between 8.45am and 9.00am. The program finishes at 12:30pm and pick up will be at 12.30pm.

- Snacks for morning tea.
Mini and teen chef program
Kids can get cooking and learn basic kitchen skills these school holidays with our mini chef program. Take home a plate of food cooked during the class and the recipe - so it can be recreated at home! Please note children with allergies or dietary requirements may not be suitable for this program. This program is for children aged 6 to 12 years old.
Drop off time for the mini chef and teen chef programs is between 8.45am and 9.00am for the morning class and between 11.45am and 12.00pm for the afternoon class. The morning class finishes at 11:00am and pick up will be 11.00am. Afternoon class finish at 2:00pm and pick up time is 2.00pm.

Arts and crafts program
Children can get creative in our arts and crafts programs. Design, decorate, and have fun creating something special with guidance from our instructors. Take home the instructions with your child's unique creation for future inspiration. This program is for children aged 6 to 12 years old.
Drop off time for the arts and crafts program is between 8.45am and 9.00am. The program finishes at 12.30pm and pick up will be at 12.30pm.

The mini and teen chef programs are a great way for children to learn basic cooking skills and kitchen safety. Every participant will bring home a snack to share. These programs are a great way to get the children into the kitchen to start cooking at home.
