Clubs Forever Rotary Junior Sports Scholarship winners

Congratulations to the 2014 Clubs Forever Rotary Junior Sports Scholarship winners:
  • Male category — Gabriel O'Sullivan (Gymnastics)
  • Female category — Melany Smart (Athletics)
The winners were announced at the 2014 Stirling Star of the Year Awards annual dinner in June 2014.
Both Gabriel and Melany have won scholarships valued at $2750.00. We look forward to hearing all about their sporting triumphs in the future.

About the scholarship

The Clubs Forever Rotary Junior Sport Scholarship is proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Balcatta and supported by the City of Stirling. The purpose of the scholarship is to help junior sportspeople, who have demonstrated potential to reach state or national levels, to excel and achieve their potential in their chosen sports. Scholarships for development are provided directly related to the recipient’s sport performance, including support for:
  • Attending training sessions
  • Taking part in state and national team selections or competitions
  • Specialist coaching etc.
  • Two $2750.00 (excluding GST) scholarships per year will be allocated applicant by a committee, one each for males and females. The 2014-15 round of the Rotary Junior Sports Scholarship is now OPEN and will close on 30 April 2015.
