This has led to the need for further structure and regulations by Councils, of all sizes, in order to provide guidance to private and commercial business operators. The City of Stirling recognises that physical activity is a valuable component of a healthy and vibrant community. The City is committed to providing spaces and places for people to participate in a range of activities that enhance physical health and well-being.In view of this, the City has developed new Personal and Group Training Guidelines to assist Council in managing the increase in the number of personal and group trainers requesting access to Council's public open space and sporting grounds.On this page, you will find all the information require to commence Personal and Group Training a City of Stirling public open space or sporting ground.Qualifications In order for you to be eligible for consideration for a Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Operator permit within the City of Stirling, you must have the following :Approved qualifications endorsed by Fitness Australia and/or VETAB providers such as TAFE, Universities and Nationally Recognised Training institutions/college;A current Senior First Aid Certificate;Proof of being a current registered professional with Fitness Australia or the relevant peak body; andCurrent Public Liability Insurance to a minimum of $10 million and Professional Indemnity Insurance for the life of the permit. Fees and chargesPermit types, sizes and allocationsThe maximum number of persons per group is 25 people. Additional permits may be available upon request. There are 3 sizes of personal training groups.
